Will YOU be my BFF? (Guss/Faye)
Guss wrinkled his nose in disgust at the old book store. It was so dull and boring. Books were meant to have those awesome covers on them with monsters and aliens. Those were the cool ones. But fairytales were really cool. They were like...the most awesome.
Especially unicorns. They were so pretty. And he had heard that they were actually real in this world. Before, Guss had secretly thought that he wasn't that popular. Or awesome. And awesomeness was everything to him. But he had been granted access into this whole cool magical world, so obviously that made him more awesome than all of the losers in his class. Of course.
He grinned to himself, braces clotted with food from yesterday. Had he brushed his teeth last night? Or this morning?
Oh well. he shrugged with one shoulder and scratched his head. This shop was boring. And no one was talking to him. He needed a BFF. Like, right now. His dark brown eyes scanned the shop quickly, looking for someone around his age who may consider talking to him.

Re: Will YOU be my BFF? (Guss/Faye)
Faye walked into the store and looked about with a scowl. She didn't like the place one bit. She wasn't very fond of books in the best of times, but she need one. She had looked all over for anything that could tell her something.
She had just about given up.
So she was already in a bad mood when this little... ginge stepped in front of her.
"Uh, Excuse me," she sneered wondering if it was worth it risk contamination to push him out of her way.

Someone had approached him? Well, to be fair, he had deliberately stepped in front of her. She was the only one that was around his age in this place, so far.
But ew, it was a girl. Didn't they carry diseases or something? He pulled an ugly, blatant expression of disgust when it spoke to him.
"You are excused. " he said, whiney, loud voice penetrating the quiet of the book store.
"You would be a lot less gross if you were my BFF." he said matter of factly, then proceeded to wipe his nose with the back of his hand. Guss grinned at her, displaying the colourful array of food in his teeth.
"I'm Guss." he extended her hand out for her expectantly, awaiting a shake.

"I'd be less," she widened her eyes and couldn't even be bothered to finish that statment. The... thing was obviously deliusional if he thought she'd be his "BFF" "Well I'm sorry but I don't think there's enough disinfectant in the world that would make you less gross."
She just looked at his hand with disgust. No one could pay her to touch that. "I'm out of your league."
She tapped her foot as she waited for the little twirp to get out of her way.
"Well, are you going to move or not?"

"I'm not gross, I'm confident enough not to shower as regularly as other boys. Girls are the gross ones- I heard that you have pink cooties that latch onto people's brains and make them wear flowery skirts." he twisted his face in distaste.
"I'm way too cool for flowery skirts." he snorted confidently and pushed his thick glasses up his nose, only for them to fall back down again due to the grease on his face. Only Merlin knew how it had come to be there.
"Yeaah." he drawled, widening his eyes. "You're out of my league because my league is high above yours and it's not the same league." he threw back lamely.
"No way." he snorted again, this time a little nervously. "You're talking to me, which means you want to be BFFS. Besides, I can totally read your body language." he said smugly, grinning slyly. In truth, he had only read two paragraphs of that body language book his mother had given him on how to make friends faster.

"God, Cooties? I thought you were supposed to get over those in like the first grade," she sneered, "And call it what you want, but trust me, not showering at least once a day equals gross."
Faye snorted, "Keep telling yourself that Gus."
Faye felt her face go hard with a glare at the suggestion. This boy was getting into danger teritory. He was lucky she had no control over her power for at the moment she was actually wanting to use it on him.
"As if" she sneered. Sighing, she new she would regret it, but she just wanted to get her damn book.
"Now move." She reached out and shoved his shoulder making him stumble to the side, and she walked past all the while panicking because she had touch it.

"Yeeaah, cooties. You should know what they are, they're all over you and it's grooosss." he snarled.
"That so means you want to be BFFs." he looked down at his dirty fingernails smugly. "But I'm not sure I want to be BFFs with a girl- especially a girl like you- but I may consider it. Don't get your hopes too high." he scoffed. In truth, Guss wanted to be BFFs with anyone that would talk to him. Especially this girl. She was cool- he could tell that. No where near as cool as him, of course.
Guss whined loudly when she pushed him to the side, moaning in a high pitched voice.
"Heyyyyy!" he called after her, then caught up with the girl. "You didn't tell me your name!"
I have to at least know my BFFs name. He nodded to himself.

Re: Will YOU be my BFF? (Guss/Faye)
Faye snorted at the boy, "Don't worry, I won't." The only thing she hoped for was for him to leave her alone and that was starting to seem highly unlikely.
She stopped about a column of books down, skimming for what she wanted and trying not to think about the bacteria that had to be growing on her hand now that she touched him, and could hear him whinning after her.
God! Coudn't she just look for her book in peace.
"Maybe that was the point," she snarlled whirling on him with a dangerous look. A look she imagined should accompany a life ending power - although it was rarly the look she had while using it. Though after a moment she calmed down into a calculating smile, "Tell yeah what Gus, if you can guess my name, maybe I'll let you talk to me."
Some may think it was a dangerous game, but honsetly? Faye didn't think it was on the top of his list of things to guess. Besides, she could always lie if he did come up with it.

Re: Will YOU be my BFF? (Guss/Faye)
"Good." he nodded smugly. She was listening to him, which was good, because it meant that he was the dominant figure in their relationship. Of course, he had no idea what that meant, but the books had made it sound like he was more awesome than her, at this point.
So far, their relationship was progressing well.
"Gertrude?" he asked brightly. "You look like a Gertrude." he said thoughtfully. Gertrude and Guss. It sounded good.
"What lame book are you looking for in such a lame shop? You obviously have bad taste."

(OCC - I am so sorry that I took so long to get back to you. Some virus kept Popping up everytime I tried to get onto Alecto)
Faye snorted, "Even my grandmother had enough grace to be offended to be called Gertrude; try again four-eyes, and you should know your clock is ticking."
"What are you doing in here if its so lame?" she asked strictly avoiding answering the question. This boy certainly did not get the truth.
