Catching Up

[Harriot Izser]

Harriot turned the page of the book she was reading, she sighed as she saw it was even more words, no spells, not even a picture.
She put the book down as she took in the library. Bookshelves that went up to the ceilings, books that people were piling up putting themselves back. It was boring, with nowhere to go, nothing to do - and not that she minded - no homework to do.
She sighed as the librarian started to usher everyone out for closing time. She decided to leave before the librarian ushered her out too. She could already hear someone getting dragged out by their ear.

[Clementine Smith]

Clementine peered over the girl's shoulder shyly, not sure if she was intruding.

"Are putting the book down because you don't like it, or because we have to leave?" she asked quietly.

Harriot looks over her shoulder to find a girl peering over her.
"Both, well...if you can hear, you should be able to hear the librarian dragging someone out by their ear. and I'm bored of this, I don't know when exactly classes are so I came here instead to just read my way through it, and I've been here all day." Harriot sighed as she looked at the girls, she looked alright, maybe someone she could be friends with.

"Hm, yes, we really should be going..." Clementine said absently, "but I love this place. I love reading. Nobody else seems to, though..."
