Not an impulse, promised

Lana entered Phoenix Ink and walked to the counter.

"Hello? Is there anyone here?"

During the time she waited for anyone to come to her, Lana started to think very hard, to promise herself it wasn't an impulse. No, she wanted a tattoo for, like, ages. It wasn't an impulse. It was a need.

"Oh, just shut up, you!" She silenced herself.

"Welcome to Phoenix Ink - where your magical tattoo dreams come to life. I know it is cheesy, but I am required to say it" Victory commented in an amused tone as she entered from the back room and came over to lean on the counter and survey her new customer "and what can I do for you?"

Lana looked over as the owner of the shop walked to her.

"Well," she said with one of her most convincing smiles, "I'd like to have a tattoo."

"Well that does happen to be why most people come into my shop. Of course I do get the odd person asking for directions, but people who are lost do not usually have to give themselves a talking to about whether or not to ask for directions" Victory replied with amusement. Her manner was easy and unaffected. Not rude but not desperate to please either. She nodded pleasantly at her and added "did you have a tattoo in mind or do you want to see my books?"
