At the Top [Tory/Nate]

[Nate Blackwell]

They apparated at the very tip of the Statue of Liberty. Nate held onto the ridge for balance and he had to squint against the wind that was blowing over his face. It was always refreshing to be here early in the morning when no one was around except the birds that circled the lavender colored sky.

"Alright?" He turned to Tory.

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

"Yes" Tory replied after a pause where she ran her hands over herself, and double checked her whole body for injury.

[Nate Blackwell]

"You sure you didn't leave any organs behind?" Nate laughed and he balanced over the crown, looking down. It was so high up where they were that the altitude nearly took your breath away.

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

"Yeah I am pretty sure I would notice" Tory replied with a shake of her head and a laugh.

[Nate Blackwell]

"So, you're the tattoo artist, huh?" Nate hauled himself over the ledge so that a little slip and he would be falling. He had his head up at the sky and he was leaning forward precariously.

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

"Try not to die on me" Tory warned seeing his position and shaking her head, before nodding and adding "tattoo's and piercings, I will do what no other artist will do, and I am famous for my animation work ..."

[Nate Blackwell]

"I'm not dying on anyone." Nate looked down and like the adrenaline shooting through his blood. "I've fallen off this ledge countless times." He turned to her. "I was thinking of getting a tattoo."

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

"You are, what kind of thing you thinking?" Tory replied, actually interested in the conversation now.

[Nate Blackwell]

"I'm not sure. You're the artist. What do you suggest?"

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

"Well it would be helpful if I had my books, and I do not get that many guys in the studio. They are always worried they wont be able to take the pain, in front of a girl" Tory commented her mouth twitching slightly as she stifled a laugh at that comment before she turned serious and to her thoughts. She looked him up and down and then thought of all the options she had already done "well depends on whether you believe in luck or not? Whether you speak a foreign language or not? Why your getting the tattoo in the first place ..."

[Nate Blackwell]

"Luck, no...French, Italian, Greek, Sanscrit...you name it. And I want the tattoo because it would mark another part of my life that I'm willing to remember." Nate said after a while as he thought about her questions. "Do you want to get to your shop then?" He held his hand out.

[Victory Aaliyah Reed]

Tory took his hand after a moments paused and nodded "please."

[Nate Blackwell]

"You apparate. I don't really know where your shop is." Nate said as he pulled her closer to the edge. "When I say three, we jump."

"I am not sure I like that plan, but okay" Tory agreed with a nod.

[Nate Blackwell]

"Okay then one, two...three!" He pushed both of them off the statue, feeling the air and the the gravity push them down closer and closer towards the bottom. "Apparate!"

Tory obeyed. Not exactly scared, she could not say she enjoyed the experiance even if it did come with an adrenalin rush. In fact by the time she zapped them away with thoughts of her studio, she had closed her eyes tight.
