Lesson one - First years

[Anadora Black]

I entered the classroom. Empty, as usual. I just threw my backpack onto a desk, one on the middle of the classroom, so I wouldn't seem either lazy or bookworm, and I just sat myself, taking my head in my hands.

"Here we go, Miss Black." I told myself to give me courage. I would have killed to be able to get back to sleep.

[Clementine Smith]

"Hi," I said idly, sitting down next to Anadora.

[Anadora Black]

"Hello Clementine" I said without looking up. "I'm glad you arrived early. Some more minutes and you would have had to shake me awake."

[Clementine Smith]

I laughed at that. "You're one of those people who seriously dislike school, aren't you?"

[Anadora Black]

"Oh no, I'm not, really I am not. It's just that I am one of those people who hate going to school earlier than 10."

[Clementine Smith]

I nodded slowly "Riiiiiight..." Earlier than 10... Don't all schools start earlier than 10?

[Anadora Black]

I grinned at the sound. "I knooooow that no school starts later than 10, Clementine. I was just making a point. I think." I rubbed my temples. "It's quite difficult to think when your brain's still snoring."

I entered the room and spotted the two red-haired girls I kept seeing everywhere.
I nodded to one of them, being polite, and sat myself at the back of the room.

[Alex Wimbleway]

Alex walked in, again with his mates chatting. This time he didn't even bother to sit near Ana and just sat down next to the new girl.

[Clementine Smith]

"Hi, I keep seeing you around... You are new, right?" Clementine asked, as politely as she found possible.

[Alex Wimbleway]

"It's school, of course we see her around." Alex smirked.

[Clementine Smith]

Clementine rolled her eyes.

[Alex Wimbleway]

"Got ya that time" Alex chuckled.

[Clementine Smith]

"No. I was just irritated by your painfully unfunny joke. You know I meant as in I hadn't seen her before today."

[Alex Wimbleway]

Alex shrugged "Whatever you say"

[Anadora Black]

I lifted myself from our bench and slowly walked to Alex. Before he could say anything, I just took one of his ears in my fingers and squeezed it very hard. "Can you pleeeeeease stop acting like a total prat, Wimbles?"

[Emie Tate]

I looked as Anadora came next to Alex and started squeezing his ear off. I started feeling really bad about it, like, really bad.

I took my head in my hands. "Please, can you stop that? It's...not...funny." I tried to stay calm, but then I couldn't contain myself and I got out of the room.

"Je vais être malaaaade!" I kept yelling on my way to the loos.

[Anadora Black]

"Ooh." I said when Emie ran out of the class. I turned to Clem. "I think I'd better be careful with that one. I think she said she was going to be sick. Think she's French?" I sat myself on the bench, next to Wimbles.

[Clementine Smith]

"Yeah, French. She didn't like the ear-squeezing- something along the lines of being sick. Very pleasant."

[Anadora Black]

I chuckled. "Oh, don't start. Remember that I myself go on holiday to France every year. She can't be that bad. And I am definitely a little devil. As if I could help it with this one." I shook my head towards Alex.

[Clementine Smith]

"Je sais un petit français, moi-même. Not much, mind." I said, picking each word with consideration.

[Anadora Black]

I widened my eyes in surprise. "Wow, well, it sounds good. But, just, put a "de" before français, 'cause they looove putting useless words everywhere."

[Clementine Smith]

"Je vais mettre cela en considération. Bien, je vais probablement avoir ce mal, trop, me connaissant." I said, slowly growing more confident.

[Emie Tate]

I came back into the classroom and sat back down.
I then understood, by their speech, that Anadora and Clementine had been talking about my outburst.
"I'm sorry," I told Anadora, "but what you did reminded me of my older brother Louis being bullied because he is a Squib." I finished it lower, as I hoped they wouldn't hear the most important information.

"Hm. He's alright, right? Being a squib's quite harsh from what I've heard..."
